I requested that City Insulation take on several projects at my apartment in Manchester, including reinsulating most of the walls and adding secondary glazing for acoustic/thermal insulative properties to all the windows, as my apartment is centrally located in an area with significant noise disruptions during peak times, city events, and so on. The company was thoroughly professional throughout, including working to fit things matching the original fixtures and fittings of the property with the appropriate RAL colours and trims, and the insulation work additionally involved preparing a new recess/infill section and adding an extra cupboard space, as well as managing electrical changes and other complexities. The whole process was managed carefully with great results, so I would highly recommend them.

We'd had problems with noise from our neighbours – loud TV, loud phone conversations – which had become so intrusive we were considering moving. But we love our house, so instead, we decided to get "proper" sound proofing done by City Insulation, and we're really glad we did. Intrusive noise has been pretty much entirely eliminated and we feel like our home is our own once more. Jack and Nick did the work and were a pleasure to have in the house. They talked us through what they were doing, kept us up to date with progress and cleaned up thoroughly once they were done.

Adam & Rachel were professional, knowledgeable and genuine people to deal with. I knew nothing about sound proofing but they talked me through all my options to help me understand the best options for my particular wall. They were also really helpful on suggesting work that fitted within my budget, there were other more expensive options but they recommended the best package for me that would have the most impact not just the most expensive. The sound proofing they installed on my party wall to reduce noise from neighbours (screaming children, overly loud tv, shouting etc..) has been game changing. Since being completed me and my partner can now sit and have a conversation without having to put music or tv on in background to drown out the neighbour noise. The work was very professional, the finishes excellent and all the lads took real care to protect existing furniture, carpets etc... The work was completed in a very professional manner and attention to detail was fantastic. Some firms do their bit and leave but they even arranged for other tradesmen to help complete the redecoration work after they had left i.e. plasterer, plumber (to re-mount a radiator) whose work was also of an equally excellent standard. I would highly recommend city insulation to anyone wanting to work with a truly professional business whose end product does exactly what it says on the tin! I recently used City Insulation to help with soundproofing my semi-detached house. I could hear my neighbours TV, door slamming and arguments, to the extent that I felt like I lived with them! City Insulation installed their ‘Independent Wall plus both upgrades’ system on every adjoining wall to my neighbours and the results have been great! The noise has been reduced by around 80% in the three rooms and I no longer feel the intrusion from next door. I knew nothing about soundproofing before the job was done, and City are not local to where I live so it was a bit of a’ leap of faith’. Many thanks to the team for installing the soundproofed wall all along the partition wall from one side of the house to other completely sealing off the noise disturbances I had to deal with.The team of three took two days and worked their hats off with exemplary workmanship and showed ingenuity fixing a challenging situation that they’d encountered.They also set up the house with protection prior to starting and cleaned up inside and outside the door where they worked in poor weather conditions.All in all, I will definitely call them again for any issues and I wholeheartedly recommend them. Adam and Rachel from the office were very helpful in answering all the queries I initially had.
