The Problem

City Insulation were brought in by Altrincham based landscape architects, Plan.it to acoustically treat two of their customer facing meeting rooms. Staff would present via video link but despite having the best conferencing equipment, speech intelligibility levels were low because of the echo within the room. That’s not good for business.

If speech intelligibility is down it prevents stakeholders from communicating effectively, which is not something that can be afforded. Luckily Plan.it recognised this quickly and enlisted the help of City Insulation to address the issue.

The Solution

There was a requirement to install something that was aesthetically pleasing as well as offering the obvious acoustic improvement – Plan.it are at the forefront of urban landscape design and change throughout the UK, so it had to look the part. We opted for the clean lines and acoustic properties of the alluring SlatWall, in natural oak, with a grey marl acoustic backing. The result – two meeting rooms that look and sound incredible, and now, much better clarity when chatting to prospects and customers.
